Most people on this sub would say yes. On the other sub, they'd say no. I say, give it a shot. If you like the intensity of part 1's combat, you'll definitely like part 2. As for the story, that's up to you to figure out what you feel about it. I will say though, it's worth experiencing for the sheer ambition of it all.

Overall though, I only bought the remake because I already had a Ps5 and it had been 3-4 years since I last replayed part 1. Ultimately I am fine with the remastered copy. Maybe once it’s on sale but $70 is a steep price for nearly the same game.

Remake's out soon so you may as well. Part 2 had gameplay that felt two generations ahead and everyone expects it to be ported back into the part 1 remake. Just avoid spoilers like the plague.
